ECHAS, LLC - Emergency Call for Heart Attack and Stroke is developing a smartphone app to detect signs of a heart attack or stroke that can sometimes occur far from medical services.Ā The full featured app will include sensors of facial, dexterity and vocal features to help patients know if a stroke or heart attack is in progress.Ā Ā Validation of the full app is not yet available since it requires a large clinical study leading to FDA approval.
As a next step in the development process, ECHAS has created a FREE app (ECHAS Lifeline) that provides a list of the symptoms of a heart attack or stroke without the need for phone or internet connectivity.Ā It also provides a button to place a 911 call if the user decides that an emergency exists. The first use of this information app is being offered to Northland Fishing Tackle members.
Apple iPhone users can access the app on the App Store or use this link to download it.
Android users can access the app on the Play Store or use this link to download it.
